On May 24, 2025, thousands filled Seattle for MayDay USA — worship against the spiritual attack on our children, met by Antifa and 21+ arrests. Stephanie came from Oregon, Luke from Idaho; they locked eyes mid-worship, and nudged by the Holy Spirit, Luke said hi — and knew he’d met his wife.

The MayDay tour’s final stop was Hollywood Boulevard, and the worshippers took it over — worship, prayer over strangers, and baptisms right on the street. In the thick of it, Luke and Stephanie grabbed lunch at Wahlburgers and took their very first photo together. Their first date.

On June 12, 2025, Stephanie flew to Idaho to meet Luke’s family — and caught the Hayden Cinema premiere of his film, A Father’s Love, right there beside them. Watching her step so easily into his world, they both knew there was no turning back: it was time to pursue marriage.
Watch the filmNine days later, on June 21, Luke made the trip the other way — to Oregon, to meet Stephanie’s family. Beach days on the coast, a taste of her Oregon life, and time to really know her. Then one night, in the middle of it all, he said it out loud for the first time: “I love you.”
On July 6, Luke came back to Oregon for the neighborhood’s Fourth of July party — and turned it into the moment he asked for Stephanie’s hand. He did it in front of the people who mattered most: Grandma June, Melanie, and Stan, with Stephanie right there. By the end, the whole circle had broken down in tears.
On August 5, Stephanie stepped into ministry alongside Luke, leading a group for a week of youth camp at The Heart in Idaho. Side by side, they poured into their campers — their first taste of doing the Lord’s work together as a team, the way they’d come to build their whole life.
On August 15, Luke pulled off a proposal only a filmmaker could: he shot a film of their life together, then set up hay bales and a projector in the same barn where he’d filmed it and played it for her. As the last frame faded, he asked her to marry him. Stephanie said yes — and they swing danced in the barn.
On August 23 — 92 days from the day they met — Luke and Stephanie married at sunrise atop a hill above Elsie Lake, in a worship ceremony officiated by their fathers, Stan and Jim. The family made a weekend of it: water, good food, dancing. No safety net — just fierce faith and a love worth building a life around.
Three days before the wedding, Luke put in his two weeks as a marketing manager. Days after they said “I do,” the two went all in on a business of their own — and Ignite was born. Now Stephanie works right alongside Luke, cleaning appliances across Coeur d’Alene and Spokane — and spreading the love of Jesus.
